Lancaster, Steve Libby, Joe Mayton, Molly McClellan, Lee Minix, Rev. Bob and Ruth Partlow,

The meeting began at 6pm with prayer and reflection led by Rev. Ruth Partlow.
The minutes of the October 9, 2007 meeting were accepted as presented.
Treasurers Report Accepted as presented.
New Business:
A new budget is needed for 2008. Discussion was given to adding new line items to the
budget including Outreach and Millennium Development. Vestry members were encouraged to
ask their respective committees what their funding issues might be for 2008. Mrs.
Lancaster and Mr. Minix agreed to review the budget. Once these new estimates have been
collected, the Vestry will then decide on the need for new budgetary line items.
Mrs. Nancy Lancaster asked for the Vestrys permission to give Mr. Lee Minix,
Treasurer, the authority to sign checks issued from the Churchs budgetary accounts.
Mrs. Southall motioned, seconded by Mr. Hlad, that Mr. Lee Minix should be given the
authority to sign checks issued from the Churchs budgetary accounts. The motion
carried.
Old Business:
Mrs. McClellan reported on the Stewardship campaign. There is a projected $9500
increase from last year. The Vestry thanked Mrs. McClellan for her assistance and hard
work throughout this process.
At the next monthly meeting, Rev. Bob Partlow will be presenting a rough draft of the
proposed endowment policy.
Committee Reports:
Communication and Administration: Mr. Libby provided an update on the progress of the
Search Committee. They are now reviewing an extensive list of candidates. He has also
talked with Mrs. Barbara Henley about the issues involved in setting up a Church endowment
policy.
Buildings and Grounds: Mrs. Lancaster showed the design from Giles Signs for the new
church sign. The total cost for this sign is $2200. Ms. Gallagher moved, seconded by Mrs.
Southall, that the Church purchase the sign from the Giles Signs Company. The motion
carried. Mrs. Lancaster also suggested having a Clean-Up day at Church after the Holidays.
Members would help clean out the storage room in the basement after Church. A Casual Dress
day would coincide with the Clean-Up day.
Co-Rectors: Rev. Bob and Rev. Ruth Partlow will be starting an educational program in
January for members interested in learning more about becoming chalice bearers, lectors,
and lay Eucharistic ministers. Also, five members will be confirmed and/or received at the
Dec. 2 service.
Christian Formation: Mr. Hlad shared information about Carolyn Blacks visit
concerning Christian formation. She will be working with the Vestry on establishing new
Sunday morning service programs.
Young Adults and Youth: The Campus Ministry group is actively involved in many
activities. A member of Campus Ministry, Adam Lees, asked to lead a Youth program for High
School students. Someone would need to volunteer to work with him.
Parish Life/Outreach: The Olan Mills picture directory sessions are completed. Ms.
Gallagher commented that this was a successful event. Sixty families came in to get their
pictures taken. Mrs. Kathy Orth will be reviewing the proofs and the directory lay out.
Ms. Gallagher also stated that she is certified in CPR. She would like to offer a CPR
course to Church members.
Pastoral Care: Mrs. Kemner sent in an article to the Church newsletter to re-instate
the Prayer chain. She is also trying to gather volunteers to help supply meals,
transportation, and babysitting services during times of crisis.
Long-Range Planning: Mr. Mayton stated that he is working to put together the various
needs from each committee representative.
Worship: On Dec. 2, Bishop Buchanan will be at the service. On Christmas Eve, there
will be two services. One will be at 5:30pm featuring the Childrens Choir, and the
other service will be at 10:30pm featuring the Adult Choir.
