What is this?

A small groups of parishioners (age 19-99) who gather for monthly, informal pot-luck dinners from September to April. While most groups have finished by May or June, some have so much fun, they simply extend it for a full 12 months! This activity was launched around 2003.

What do I have to do?

Not much! Just bring a side dish to each month's host-home & take your turn as host(ess) to provide the main course. The only requirement is that grace be said at the meal, that Bishop John Johns be remembered with a prayer or a toast, and the date and place for the next gathering is set.

Why do I want to do this?

Because it is a great way to meet people whom you may not know, to get to know better those whom you know only slightly, and to spend time with those whom you do know. Also the food is terrific and the time is a blast! (Just ask the dozens & dozens who have participated over the last several years!)

What if my home isn’t big enough for the group?

Many folks face the situation, but we have a solution: other members of your group offer their homes in which you can act as host(ess). You still provide the main course, just from someone else’s kitchen. This has worked successfully for many years.

When does it start?

We launch the Season in September. All you have to do is sign up and give us your telephone number and e-mail.

What group will you be in?

After everyone has signed up, folks will be assigned to groups and notified. The first host(ess) will also be picked. Even it you don’t sign up—you may be invited! Members of a group may want to know you better and invite you to join them. But don’t be shy—sign up yourself.
