Johns Memorial Church is located in the heart of Farmville, Virginia at 400 High Street. We hope to be an indispensable part of our community as we worship together, grow together and serve God by serving the world.

Our Vision

We are a community called to work with Jesus Christ in renewing the world.

We believe that God is about the business of bringing renewal to the whole world, through Jesus Christ. When God created all things in the beginning, God did not abandon the world and the people God created. Rather, God determined restore all of creation to what God intended it to be.

Because of that, we seek to partner with God, through faith in Jesus Christ and his resurrection from death to begin to heal the brokenness that we have caused. That is how we bear his image in the world.

Our Mission

We are called to know Christ and to make him known.

One of the ways we know Christ in the world today is through the patient, persistent, loving work of building his church here at Johns Memorial. We can do this through:

• Caring
• Prayer
• Fellowship

In addition to the community God is building up at Johns Memorial, we also bear God image in the world by expanding the presence of God throughout Farmville, Southside Virginia and around the world. Some ways we accomplish this include:

• Engaging culture
• Reaching out in mission
• Proclaiming the gospel
• Seeking justice
